ZOO HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Rangers Day, Lory Park Zoo, Jul  10-12 for 8-16yrs, 7am-4pm, incl lunch and certificate. Each day will be filled with a fun, exciting programme of education, information, conservation messages; tons of activities; hands on experience with the animals. From feeding them, cleaning there enclosures to touching and playing them. There are activities & talks during the day to keep the little one enthralled

The World of Reptiles – Jul 9-10, Gr 4-7. Fascinating variety of reptiles, and will also feature a demonstration of live snakes. Some important aspects of snake behaviour and the adaptations of various reptiles will be taught

Meet the Mammals at Pta Zoo – Jul 11, Gr R-3, During this one-day course learners will learn about the various types of mammals in the zoo. They will learn about the various types of mammals in the zoo, and explore the feeding habits of mammals and the features that make mammals unique. This practical course is designed to help learners understand the variety and adaptations of mammals.

Monkey Tricks at Pta Zoo -   Jul 11, Gr R-3. This course is offered to teach learners about primates in a fun and inter-active way. They will learn how to identify primates and about how primates communicate, search for food and do tricks to survive in their habitats

Scavenger Hunt at Pretoria Zoo – Jul 12-13, Gr 4-7. This course will explore, investigate and collect data of different species of animals, such as their location, feeding habits and general behaviour. Learners will participate in a comprehensive treasure hunt based on selected animals housed in the Zoo.

Arts & Music Program, Sundowner, Cherise’s Little Music Studio, Jul 9-12 from 2yrs. Join us for a fun filled arts and music holiday program for the whole family. Cut, paint, glue, dance, and sing all around a theme.
